Nix, Fuaga Picked Early...Hear Ducks Spring Game

NFL Draft 1st Round last night:

Bo Nix will be a Bronco. Denver selected the former Oregon Quarterback with the 12th pick. Nix, who set several passing records as a Duck, came as a bit of a surprise getting taken that high, but there were reports several weeks ago that the Broncos liked him at that spot.

Just two spots later…at 14, New Orleans picked Taliesa Fuaga…The 2023 First-Team All-American Tackle is the first Beaver offensive lineman to be selected in the first round of the draft. 

The Seattle Seahawks selected Defensive Tackle Byron Murphy out of Texas with the 16th pick.

San Francisco picked Ricky Pearsall a Wide Receiver from Florida at number 31. 

College Football: 

Oregon holds their Spring Game tomorrow at Autzen Stadium. We’ll have the game here on KBND. Coverage starts 1. 

MLB: 

The Mariners beat Texas 4 to 3 yesterday to take the series and the division lead back to Seattle. Luis Gonzalez picked up his second win of the year. The Ms take on Arizona starting tonight at 6:40.

The Giants are 12 and 14 and trailing the Dodgers, Padres, and Diamondback in the NL West. The Pittsburgh Pirates are visiting San Francisco for a weekend series starting tonight at 7:15.

College Baseball: 

Number 9 Oregon State takes on Number 22 Oregon for a huge conference series starting tonight in Corvallis. First pitch is at 6:05. College 

Softball:

Oregon State plays their final home series this weekend. First pitch against Utah tonight is at 7.

Number 23 Oregon plays Northern Colorado Sunday

Soccer:

The Portland Thorns play Chicago tomorrow at 4:30

The Portland Timbers have LAFC tomorrow night at 7:30

Local: 

Softball and Baseball: Mountain View vs Caldera, Ridgeview battles Bend, Crook County matches up with Molalla, La Pine plays Pleasant Hill, Sisters has Elmira.
