OSU Out Slugs Zags 20-13

College Baseball: 

Oregon State slugged it out with Gonzaga yesterday and won 20 to 13. Travis Bazanna hit his 25th and 26th home runs of the season, adding to his school record. The Beavers are now ranked 7th in the D1 Baseball dot com poll, 8th in the Coaches poll, 9th in the Writers’ poll, and 11th in Baseball America.

Oregon is number 20 in Baseball America, 23 in the Writers’ poll, 24th in D1 Baseball and the coaches poll…[The Ducks travel to Seattle Friday to play a series against Washington.]

MLB: 

San Francisco lost 6 to 1 to the Phillies yesterday. Mason Black took the loss allowing 5 runs in 4 and a third. The Giants head to Denver today. First pitch against the Rockies is at 5:40

The Mariners lost 3 to 1 to Minnesota yesterday. Luis Castillo pitched well going 6 and 2 thirds with two earned runs on two hits, but took the loss. Seattle is back at it again today in game two of the four game series. First pitch against the Twins is at 4:40.

College Football: 

Oregon has the Number one ranked transfer portal class in the Big Ten Conference according to 24/7 Sports. Last weekend, the Ducks landed a couple of highly touted defensive players. The U of O's transfer class is 2nd in the country behind Ole Miss. Oregon State is ranked near the bottom for the spring transfer period.

NFL:

The Seahawks signed nose tackle Buddha Jones on Sunday, one day after the undrafted rookie out of Troy finished Seattle's rookie minicamp. 56 players took part in the practices for the team’s draft picks and undrafted free agents. New head coach Mike Macdonald called it a ‘good start’.
