The Bend Elks are back. The West Coast League season starts against the Walla Walla Sweets at Vince Genna Stadium with a series through Sunday. First Pitch tonight is at 6:35.

College Baseball:
NCAA Tournament Regionals begin today.
The Ducks are looking to get back to their second straight Super Regional; after winning in Nashville last year they will try to take Santa Barbara this year. Three-seed Oregon opens up the tourney against number two San Diego at noon today. The game will be carried on TV on ESPNU.
Oregon State is the Number 1 seed at the Corvallis Regional and will host Number 2 UC Irvine, Number 3 Nicholls State, and Number 4 Tulane. The Beavers, the number 15 overall seed in the tournament, play Tulane tonight starting at 6 from Goss Stadium.
It’s a two-loss elimination tournament with the winner going to the semi-finals tomorrow. The loser has to play an elimination game tomorrow and hope to keep playing. The final is set for Sunday night, or Monday if needed.
MLB:
The Mariners will try to build on their AL West lead when they start a series with the scuffling LA Angels. They couldn’t complete the sweep against the Astros yesterday, getting shutout 4 - 0. First pitch against Los Angeles is at 7:10.
The Giants welcome the AL East leading Yankees to San Francisco for a series starting tonightat 7:15.
Soccer:
The Portland Timbers coming off the big win in Austin Wednesday are back home tomorrow against Houston at 7:30.
College Football:
We now know game times and TV networks for five more Oregon State games including the September 14th meeting with Oregon on FOX. That network will also have the Boise State game in November. Three others against Mountain West Conference teams are on the CBS Sports Network.
The Big Ten announced Oregon will open its season on the conference’s TV Network against Idaho on August 31st. Just three months from today! Then the Ducks will be on the Peacock streaming service for their Boise State game September 7th.
