OSU Baseball To Super Regional

College Baseball:

In Corvallis, Oregon State overcame UC Irvine 11 to 6 yesterday to win their NCAA Tournament Regional. It was the continuation of a game that was postponed by rain on Sunday. Next the 15th seeded Beavers will be in Lexington, Kentucky to take on the number two overall seed Kentucky Wildcats in the Super Regional. 

Oregon is preparing for the Super Regional. The Ducks will be in College Station, Texas to play a best of three against Texas A & M.

The series will either go Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday.

MLB: 

The Giants fell 4 to 2 to the Diamondbacks last night with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 9th off of reliever Randy Rodriguez. The loss is the 5th in a row and puts San Francisco just a half game ahead of Arizona in the division standings. They’re back at it tonight starting at 6:40.

The Mariners are in first place with a 4 and half game lead in the AL West with a 34 and 27 record. Seattle has a losing record on the road, though. They’ll try to change that with a series at Oakland. The As are 24 and 34, just a slightly better record than the Angels who the Ms just swept. First pitch tonight in Oakland is at 6:40

NFL:

Seattle Seahawks Offensive Coordinator Ryan Grubb said the team is on schedule with installation of his offense at this early point in the season. The new OC spoke to the media yesterday saying they’re laying the framework now during Organized Team Activities, with the bulk of the schemes to be covered in training camp in August.They compliment the skill set of quarterback Geno Smith according to both Smith and Grubb. OTAs continue today, Thursday, and Friday.

Local: 

The Bend Elks continue their homestand to open the West Coast League season. After going 2 and 1 over the weekend, the Elks welcome Corvallis to Vince Genna tonight. First pitch is set for 6:35.
