MLB:
The Mariners held off Oakland 4 to 3 last night. The As scored 1 in the ninth to make it interesting before Seattle closed the door. When that run scored on a wild pitch the play at the plate resulted in Ms Closer Andres Munoz getting his ankle rolled on by the As runner. Munoz had to leave the game. He will be evaluated today. The Mariners are now a season-high eight games over .500 and they lead the American League West by 5.5 games. Game 2 of the series is tonight. First pitch in Oakland is at 6:40.
The Giants lost 8 to 5 to the Diamondbacks last night. Mike Yastrzemski hit a pinch hit three-run homer in the eighth inning, but the comeback ended there. San Francisco has lost a season-high six straight, and dropped a half game behind Arizona. The series in Phoenix finishes today starting at 12:40.
Local:
The Bend Elks were tattooed by Corvallis 14 to 6 last night. The Knights who are now 3 and 0 to start the season pounded out 16 hits to go along with the run explosion. The Elks dropped to 2 and 2 and are back at Vince Genna tonight. First pitch is set for 6:35.

Oregon State will be in Lexington, Kentucky to take on the number two overall seed Kentucky Wildcats in the best of three series starting Saturday afternoon at 3. Game 2 will be Sunday night at 6. And if a game three is needed it will be Monday afternoon.
Oregon will be in College Station, Texas to play number three overall seed Texas A & M starting Saturday morning at 11, game two is 4:30 pm Sunday and game three will be Monday if necessary.
