Local: 

The Elks beat Wenatchee last night. Game two of the final regular-season series is tonight. First pitch against the Applesox is at 6:35.

The Bend North Little League team plays Puyallup, Washington at noon today in the Northwest Regionals in San Bernardino, California for a chance to play Idaho again tomorrow for a shot to go to the Little League World Series.

College Football: 

Oregon's Jordan James and Noah Whittington have been included on the preseason watch list for the 2024 Doak Walker Award, for the nation's most outstanding college running back. Hear about the team’s practice on the Oregon Ducks Insider daily podcast at KBND dot com.The season kick-off is Saturday the 31st against Idaho.

College Hoops:

The West Coast Conference announced the 2024-25 women's basketball league schedule with 10 home games for Oregon State. The Beavers will begin conference play on December 19th. 

MLB: 

Seattle went down 5 to 2 against Detroit last night. Luis Castillo was saddled with the loss after giving up three runs in 6 innings. The Mariners will try to bounce back against the Tigers tonight.  First pitch is 6:45

San Francisco fell 11 to 5 to Washington yesterday after jumping out to a 4 - 0 lead in the first that had a Michael Conforto three-run homer. Game three of the four game series against the Nationals is today starting at 3:45 this afternoon.

NFL:

The Seahawks have reportedly signed center Connor Williams to a one-year deal. The veteran is coming off ACL surgery but should be able to help the offensive line if he’s healthy. Seattle plays the LA Chargers Saturday in their first preseason game.

The 49ers practice didn’t have a Brandon Auiyuk sighting yesterday. Several other veterans had a scheduled rest day. San Francisco will gradually ramp up drills as they get ready for Tennessee in the preseason opener Saturday.
