San Francisco beat Washington 7 to 4 yesterday. Mike Yastrzemski, Heliot Ramos, and Matt Chapman all went deep. Blake Snell went six innings for the win. The Giants go for the four-game series win against the Nationals this morning starting at 9:05.
Seattle lost 6 to 2 to Detroit last night. It was 3 to 2 going into the 9th when the Tigers hit a three-run homer. George Kirby took the loss as the Tigers pounded out 13 hits, seven off of Kirby who gave up the first three runs. Cal Raleigh hit a two run homer accounting for the Ms only offense. The Mariners will try to salvage the series tonight. First pitch is 6:40
NFL:
The Seahawks DK Metcalf swinging his helmet at another player…and other scuffles during practice made the social media rounds yesterday as the NFL Network just happened to be on hand during some of the training camp skirmishes. Seattle plays the LA Chargers Saturday in their first preseason game.
The 49ers continue to field offers for wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk but haven’t found the right deal yet. San Francisco gets ready for Tennessee in the preseason opener Saturday.
