College Football:
Oregon State offensive line coach Kyle DeVan speaking after yesterday’s practice told reporters Nevada’s defensive front is talented but the Beavers plan to continue going with a rushing attack that ranks number six nationally with over 260 yards a game. 17 rushing touchdowns puts them at 8th. Running Back Jam Griffin is dealing with a leg injury though. It’s also OSU’s first road trip in more than a month.
Number 3 Oregon will be underdogs against number 2 Ohio State Saturday afternoon. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel said to media members after practice yesterday he and the team understand how big the game is, and use that pressure as motivation. NFL:
Seattle will have to put outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu on injured reserve because of a thigh injury. Nwosu has been one of the Seahawks' best defenders when healthy but he missed the first four games and his return was a short one as the edge rusher will have to miss at least the next four games.
San Francisco signed kicker Matthew Wright after Jake Moody suffered a high-ankle sprain while trying to make a tackle during Sunday’s loss. It adds to the pile of injuries both teams have met so far this season.
NBA:
The Trail Blazers continue training camp ahead of the start of the regular season two weeks from tonight. Yesterday center Robert Williams III said after practice he hopes to be recovered from a hamstring injury in time to suit up for the opener against the Warriors.
