Oregon State led early but UNLV scored 27 straight points, and the late comeback attempt fell short in Corvallis Saturday night. The Beavers’ offense was stifled most of the night, as they were held 100 yards below their season average. Head Coach Trent Bray said too many execution mistakes on both sides of the ball contributed to the second straight loss.

NFL: Week 7
It was a “huge” win according to running back Kenneth Walker III who ran for 2 touchdowns as the Seahawks got right in a big way in Atlanta yesterday, beating the Falcons 34-13. Seattle stopped their three game losing streak, and regained first place in the NFC West in the process. Geno Smith threw 2 touchdown passes. Walker played despite having flu-like symptoms before the game. Receiver DK Metcalf will have a knee injury evaluated today.
San Francisco’s 28-18 loss to the Chiefs knocked the 9ers off the top of the division. Brock Purdy had a rough outing with 3 interceptions And receiver Brandon Aiyuk is feared to have a season ending knee injury but will have tests done today.
NBA:
The Trail Blazers have reportedly picked up the contract options for point guard Scoot Henderson, shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe, and forward Kris Murray.
Soccer:
The Portland Thorns couldn’t clinch an NWSL playoff with their loss to Racing Louisville.
The Portland Timbers played a 1 - 1 tie in their Cascadia Cup match in Seattle. Now the Timbers have to play Vancouver Wednesday in Portland in a play in game for a chance to get into the MLS playoffs
