College Football:

Oregon State moves into bye week with some questions about who will be starting quarterback the final four games. Gevani McCoy is the presumed QB1, but he was replaced Saturday by Ben Gulbranson and Gabarri Johnson, who at times alternated between snaps. Head coach Trent Bray was noncommittal on naming anyone the starter during his postgame press conference, saying he would watch the film and come to a decision with offensive coordinator Ryan Gunderson. San Jose State is at Reser Stadium November 9th.

Number 1 Oregon will be playing a physical Michigan team this Saturday according to head coach Dan Lanning. He said during his media availability they would focus on tackling this week, with a goal of not allowing the Wolverines long drives to start the game. NBA:

The Trail Blazers kept it respectable in the first half in Sacramento last night but it got out of hand in the 3rd quarter and the 111 - 98 final was not as close as it really was. Portland Center Deandre Ayton had another double double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The Kings found their first win.  The Blazers drop to 1 -3 and head to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers tomorrow.

NFL: Week 9

San Francisco’s Christian McCaffery will run solo simulated-game drills this week. If all goes well the running back will be at practice when the team returns from their bye week. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters yesterday McCaffery has made good progress on recovery from achilles tendinitis in both calf muscles.

The Seahawks hope to have receiver DK Metcalf back for the key division game against the Rams. Head coach Mike Macdonald is taking a wait and see approach to how Metcalf does in practice this week. Sunday was only the second game the Pro Bowl pass catcher has missed in his six year career.
