The senior transfer is one of the key reasons the Ducks rank number 12 nationally in total defense. Coaches and players talk about game week preparations for the trip to Michigan on the Oregon Ducks Insider daily podcast.

Oregon State got some good recruiting news during its bye week with a commitment from three-star Edge rusher Bleu Dannon. The high school senior out of Arizona will enroll with OSU in January. Coaches are out on the recruiting trail the rest of the week. Then it’s back to game week prep for San Jose State at Reser Stadium November 9th.

The Trail Blazers got a surprise win over the LA Clippers last night. After a slow start to the first quarter where they got down by 10 they trailed by four at the end of one. Then a run in the second gave them a 4-point lead at the half. They were down three at the end of the third and traded baskets through the 4th before Deandre Ayton’s defensive effort sealed the win for 106 - 105 fina. It’s back to Portland tomorrow for a tough matchup against Oklahoma City.

NFL: Week 9

Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf did not practice yesterday but coach Mike Macdonald told reporters afterwards he was still optimistic the star pass-catcher would be able to go Sunday. Cornerback Devon Witherspoon also sat out with a foot injury. Macdonald gave a good report on Edge Rusher Dre’Mont Jones not being too worried about a sore shoulder, and right tackle George Fant could see the field this weekend, too. Seattle is trying to get healthy enough to beat the Rams, then head into the bye week to rest, and possibly get a few more additions to the line-up like left tackle Abraham Lucas.
