College Football:
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning says the team is focusing on improvements they can make this week rather than looking ahead to the Washington game. The Ducks are hoping to have receiver Tez Johnson back after missing two games with a shoulder injury. While it is not official from coach Lanning, Johnson did post on social media this week he would be ready to go against the Huskies. Oregon State coaches are looking at the silver lining of getting a lot younger players on the field since there have been so many injuries to both sides of the ball. The Beavers are looking at finishing strong in the final two games this season. Saturday will be Senior Day for Offensive Lineman Joshua Gray and the rest of the Beavers playing their final game at Reser Stadium in the orange and black.
NBA:
Portland gave it their all in Oklahoma City and made it interesting down the stretch with both teams having a scoring outburst in the final quarter but the Thunder held off Shaedon Sharpe and the Trail Blazers 109 - 99 last night. Sharpe led six Blazers in double figures with 21 points. All in all it was a good effort considering it came against one of the Western Conference’s top teams. Forward Toumani Camara was a bright spot again with solid defense along with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Next they travel down to Houston for the first of a back to back with the Rockets starting tomorrow.
College Hoops:
The most-contested matchup in college basketball has its 365th meeting tonight in Corvallis. The 4 - 0 Oregon State men welcome 4 - 0 Oregon to Gill Coliseum. Hear coverage starting at 6:30. Tip off at 7 on KBND.
NFL: Week 12
The Seahawks had Abe Lucas as a full practice participant yesterday. The Did Not Practice list was pretty stacked but many of those are due to rest. Seattle has a big divisional game this week with first-place Arizona visiting Lumen Field.
San Francisco tight end George Kittle said yesterday he would play this Sunday against the Packers. He missed last week with a sore hamstring.
