NBA:
Portland got past Phoenix in overtime last night 121 - 119 to get to 21 - 29 on the season with the big win. The Trail Blazers ran their streak to four in a row and have won 8 of their last 9. Deandre Ayton again led the way against his former team with 25 points and 20 rebounds. It will be another test tonight when Indiana visits the Moda Center. The Pacers are 4th place in the Eastern Conference at 28 - 20.
College Basketball:
The Oregon Men dropped out of the AP and Coaches Top 25 Polls after falling below .500 in the Big 10. It’s a quick turnaround now as the team travels to newly ranked number 24 Michigan tomorrow. We’ll have that game for you here on KBND.

College Baseball:
Oregon State has its fourth top-10 ranking to open 2025. The Beavers enter the season seventh in the preseason top-30 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. The Beavers are also seventh in D1Baseball.com, ninth by Baseball America and ranked 10th by Perfect Game. OSU opens the season next Friday the 14th in Surprise, Ariz.
The Oregon Ducks are also getting pre-season attention coming in at number 12 in the Writer’s poll. The opening series in Eugene starts February 14th.

Haulin’ Aspen, Central Oregon’s premier trail race has been officially selected in 2025 as the USA Track & Field (USATF) Oregon Mountain Trail Marathon and Half Marathon Championships, bringing top-level competition to Bend trails on August 9th at Wanoga Sno Park.
Haulin’ Aspen is a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 6.5-mile "Half-As" race.
