Portland Wins Again

NBA:

Portland took down the Kings last night to get their 6th win in a row and move just 6 games below .500 at 23 and 29, and are now winners of 10 of the last 11 games. Anfernee Simons did not get traded and led the team with 30 points. There were no moves by the Blazers at yesterday’s trade deadline. They are now 3 games out of the 9th playoff seed. That finishes up the 7 game home stand. Next, a few big tests before the All Star break including two in Denver next week against the 3rd place Nuggets. The quick road trip starts in Minnesota tomorrow. Tip off at 5 against the Timberwolves.

College Basketball:

The Oregon State Men held off Washington State 82 - 74 last night. The Beavs move to 7 - 4 in the West Coast Conference with St Mary’s visiting Gil Coliseum tomorrow night.

The Oregon Women fell to 16th-ranked Maryland last night 79 - 61. The Ducks fall to 16 -7, 7 - 5 in the conference. They’re back at it Sunday.
