NBA:
Portland’s six game win streak was snapped Saturday in Minnesota. Now the team heads to Denver for two in a row against the Nuggets. Now 23 and 30, and a handful of games out of playoff contention, the franchise faces some decisions about how it wants to proceed the rest of the season: Push for the play-in tournament…Or try their luck in the draft lottery.
Tip-off against the 3rd place Nuggets tonight at 6.
College Basketball:
The OSU Women beat San Diego to even up their overall record at 13 - 13 and get to 4th place in the West Coast Conference at 9 - 6 following their 4th straight W.
The Oregon State Men were whacked by St Mary’s. The WCC’s number 1 team held the Beavs to just 49 points Saturday. OSU sits in 5th place in the conference.
The Oregon Women fell to number one UCLA yesterday. The Ducks drop to 16 -8, and 7 - 6 in the conference.
The Oregon Men couldn’t hang on to a lead against number 9 Michigan State, and dropped their 5th straight to fall to 5 and 8 in the Big 10. The Ducks have Northwestern at Matthew Knight Arena tomorrow.
