OSU BB Losses

College Basketball:

There was some question whether either Beavers mens or women’s team was going to play today because of the winter storm.

The Oregon State Women played Gonzaga tough but lost a late lead and eventually fell in overtime in Corvallis last night 66 - 62. They have an overall record of 13 - 14 and remain 4th place in the West Coast Conference at 9 - 7. The Beavers are off until next week.

The OSU Men lost at Portland last night 84 - 72 dropping their second straight. OSU sits in 5th place in the conference at 7 - 6 but now all six conference losses have come on the road. The Beavers go back to Corvallis tomorrow to hopefully get back in the win column when they face the struggling Pacific tigers.

The Oregon women coming off the Washington win are 8 - 6 in the conference and 17 - 8 overall. The Ducks are at Minnesota Sunday.

The Oregon Men remain on the bubble for an NCAA tournament bid. Rutgers visits Matthew Knight Arena for one of the longest road trips of the season. Coverage starts at 3:30 Sunday, tip off against the Scarlet Knights is at 4 here on KBND.
