NBA:

Portland blew out Charlotte Saturday Night night 141 to 88. 53 points marks the Trail Blazers largest margin of victory for the franchise. The historic win gets the team their 24th of the season. That’s nine games under .500 and still safely away from a playoff spot. It’s back on the road now for a two-week trip starting tonight in Salt Lake City. Tip off against the 14 - 42 Jazz is at 6 tonight.

College Basketball:

The Oregon Men got a resume-building win for an NCAA Tournament bid beating number 11 Wisconsin in overtime. The Ducks’ 4th straight win gets them to 7th place in the Big 10 with USC visiting Saturday.

The Oregon Women blew past Rutgers yesterday to get to 10 -7 and 8 place in the Big 10.

The Oregon State men got an NIT-resume win against San Diego. It was the first road sweep in a two game stretch for the Beavers since 2021.

The OSU Women remain in 4th place in the West Coast Conference after a another win over the weekend.

College Baseball:

7th ranked Oregon State took its first 2 Ls of the season falling to Oklahoma Saturday and Minnesota yesterday at the Round Rock classic at Round Rock, Texas.

The number 11 Oregon Ducks took 3 of 4 in their series against Rhode Island over the weekend.

Softball:

Number 19 Oregon and Oregon State both closed out the Mary Nutter Classic with wins Saturday.

SOCCER:

The Portland Timbers allowed 4 goals and scored a late one to avoid the shutout in their MLS season opening loss yesterday against Vancouver.

Local:

Swimming State Championships: The Bend Girls took the 5A title for the third year in a row. Redmond is 2nd, and Summit 5th. On the boys side, Summit finished 2nd and Caldera 4th in Class 5A.
