NBA:

The Trailblazers continue to hold pre-Draft workouts. Tuesday's rundown included forward Ben Gregg who played for Gonzaga and grew up idolizing the Blazers when he went to Clackamas High School.

 

MLB:

The Giants lost a one run game in 10 innings to the Padres again last night, this time falling 3-2. San Francisco tries to avoid the sweep tonight. First pitch is at 6:45.  

 

The Mariners fell 5 - 1 to Baltimore last night. No word yet on the status of pitcher George Kirby who took a line drive off his face in the 5th inning. The ball did bounce to first base for an out. The Ms go back at it tonight against the Orioles. First pitch is at 6:40.

 

College Baseball:

The N-C-double-A Corvallis Super Regional starts Friday. The Oregon State Beavers will host Florida State. The Corvallis Super Regional is one of just three to feature a pair of national seeds. Number 4 Auburn hosts number 13 Coastal Carolina and number 3 Arkansas is hosting number 14 Tennessee.

 

Local: 

Baseball: Summit plays Canby in the state final Saturday after upsetting 3 seed Canby yesterday. 

 

Softball: number 1 seed Ridgeview also beat Canby yesterday. The Ravens play Thurston in the final Saturday.

 

The Bend Elks beat Springfield 11 - 2 last night. Just six of the runs were earned. The Drifters committed six errors. Game two of the series is tonight. First pitch is 6:35.
