OSU Baseball Readies For Supers

College Baseball:
Oregon State is prepping for their Super regional tomorrow. The Beavers host 9 seed Florida State…First pitch from Goss is at 3 pm.

 

MLB:
The  Mariners lost to Baltimore 3 - 2 last night, after giving up two runs in the 7th. Cal Raleigh had an RBI and scored the other run. Adley Rutschman homered for the Orioles. Seattle dropped a half game behind Houston into second place and has now lost six of 9 games. They’ll try to avoid the sweep today. First pitch at 12:40.

 

The Giants rallied to defeat the Padres 6-5 last night. Heliot Ramos hit a two-run double in the seventh inning to tie the score. Jung Hoo Lee followed with a sacrifice fly that put the Giants ahead. The game ended San Francisco's streak of 16 straight games scoring four or fewer runs. They’ll try for a split with San Diego today at 12:45.

 

MLS Recap
The Timbers and Sounders both have matches this weekend.  Portland will be home on Sunday for its first of two matchups against St. Louis CITY SC this season.  The teams will play in Missouri next month.  Seattle will be north of the border Sunday to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps.  The Sounders lead the Cascadia Cup rivalry all-time at 20-10-and-12.

 

Local: 
The Bend Elks lost 8 - 6 in Springfield last night. The Drifters left meat on the bone too pounding out 17 hits. That sets up a rubber match in Game three of the series tonight. First pitch is 6:35.
