Beaver Baseball Heads To Omaha

College Baseball:

Oregon State is headed back to Omaha. The Beavers are in the College World Series once again after beating Florida State 14 - 10 last night to win the Super Regional.

 

MLB:

The Giants beat Atlanta  4 - 3 yesterday to earn the sweep over the Braves and their 5th straight win. All by one run. It’s a trip to Colorado to start a series with the Rockies tomorrow. San Francisco and San Diego are both a game behind the Dodgers in the NL West. 

 

The Mariners snapped their five-game losing streak thanks to George Kirby’s career high 14-strikeouts against the Angels. That many Ks is the most by an Ms pitcher since 2018. Seattle is in Phoenix tonight for a three game series against the Diamondbacks. First pitch at 6:40.

 

Soccer:

The Portland Thorns lost to Bay FC.

The Portland Timbers beat St Louis yesterday.

 

NFL: 

The Seattle Seahawks finished their session of Organized Team Activities last week with every player showing up for at least one session. Even those injured were on site, Players said participating in the voluntary OTAs shows buy-in for the system the coaching staff is putting in.

 

Local: 

Central Oregon brings home a couple more state titles to finish the school year.

5A Softball Final: number 1 seed Ridgeview shut out 2 seed Thurston 9 - 0 Saturday to complete a dominating run for the Ravens who went 27 - 1 on the season.

 

Baseball:

The 5th seeded Summit Storm are 5A Champions after beating Canby in the final. 

 

The Bend Elks beat Corvallis last night to win their weekend series. Now it’s back on the road in Bellingham for a series starting tomorrow.
