Oregon State Baseball Eliminated From MCWS

College Baseball:

Oregon State’s season ended in Omaha yesterday… The Beavers came back from three runs down in the top of the 9th to tie but lost in the bottom of the 9th on a Louisville sacrifice fly.  OSU finishes at 48-16-1

MLB:

San Francisco fans gave Rafael Devers a warm welcome last night in his first game in a Giants uniform. He delivered with an RBI double but Cleveland spoiled the debut with their 3 - 2 win. First pitch tonight from Oracle Park is 6:45.

Seattle shutout Boston  8 - 0 yesterday behind a Cal Raleigh grand slam marking his major league leading 27th home run. The Big Dumper is also the leading All Star vote getter for American League catcher . The series rubber match is this afternoon at 1:10.

The effort to bring a baseball team to Portland has backing from the Oregon Legislature. A bill is headed to the Governor’s desk to issue 800-million dollars in bonds to build a stadium on the South Waterfront - if MLB picks Portland. That money would be paid back by the potential team.

NBA:

The legislature also issued a bi-partisan resolution regarding their desire to make sure potential buyers of the Trail Blazers keep the franchise in Portland.
