COLLEGE BASEBALL:
Oregon outfielder Mason Neville has been named a 3rd team All-America by Baseball America.
The All-America honor is the 4th this season for Neville.
Oregon State's Iva Arquette, Gavin Turley, and Dax Whitney were all recognized also by Baseball America. Whitney made the freshman All-America team.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL:
Seattle lit up the Chicago Cubs yesterday, winning 14 to 6 at Wrigley Field.
Donovan Solano led the charge with 2 home runs and 5 RBI and Cal Raleigh blasted his league leading 31st home run, making history with his 30th earlier on Saturday. He set a new first half record for switch hitters, surpassing Mickey Mantle, among others. It's also the most by a catcher before the All-Star break.
The M’s took the series from the Cubs and are in Minnesota today.
Seattle opens a four-game series against the Twins, coming in at 39 and 37, holding down second place in the AL West, 5 games behind Houston.
San Francisco rallied to defeat the Boston Red Sox yesterday 9 to 5.
Elliot Ramos was key, driving in 4 runs, including a 2-run double in the seventh inning.
The Giants took the series and start a 3 game set against the Miami Marlins at Oracle Park. They're 44 and 34 in 2nd place in the NL West, 3.5 games behind the Dodgers.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:
Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are adding a major piece to their 2026 recruiting class. Four-star safety Jett Washington has committed to Oregon. The Las Vegas native is ESPN's top-ranked safety and 22nd-ranked overall prospect in the cycle. The nephew of late basketball legend Kobe Bryant is now the top-ranked defender in Oregon's 2026 class.
NBA
Recent mock drafts have linked the Trail Blazers to a variety of prospects, including big men like Derek Queen from Maryland and Noah Asan from France.
The general consensus is that Portland will look to add a high ceiling front court player, especially when Robert Williams III and DeAndre Eyan could be on the trade market.
