MLB:
Seattle was blown out by Philadelphia in game one of their series yesterday. The Phillies pounded out 21 hits on the way to the 12 – 7 win. The Mariners got homeruns from Mitch Garver and Cole Young in the 7th inning to give the team a little life but the home team answered back with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning. Garver and Young added RBI singles in the 9th to make them a little more respectable but it sends the Ms to a statistical tie with the Red Sox and Yankees for the Wildcard spots, and remain a game and a half out of first place in the West.

Back at it today starting at 3:45.

San Francisco jumped out early on the Padres last night then held on to win 4 - 3. Rafael Devers, Wilmer Flores, and Heliot Ramos all homered in the first inning to account for all of the runs the Giants would need . Game 2 is today at 6:40.
