Mariners Crushed

SPORTS 8-21-25

COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Oregon State’s shaking things up in Corvallis, teaming up with Blueprint Sports as their go-to agency for helping Beaver athletes navigate name, image, and likeness deals. Basically, Blueprint is stepping in to run the show for everything NIL—bringing in new sponsorships, fan interactions, and handling partnerships. They even scooped up Dam Nation Collective, which used to be the main crew handling this stuff. Kyle Bjornstad is taking the wheel as General Manager, with Justin Johnson handling NIL business. The idea? Give OSU athletes and fans more ways to connect, and open up some fresh revenue streams in what is a quickly changing scene.

At the same time…

Another day, another preseason watchlist.

This is for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which is given to the nation's top offensive player with ties to the state of Texas.

Oregon State's Salahadin Allah at running back and Offensive Lineman Van Wells have been named to the watch list. Both players hail from the Lone Star State.

Hear Ducks Football starting next Saturday the 30th. Number 7 Oregon goes up against FCS 2nd ranked Montana State here on KBND.

MLB:

The Mariners were blown of Philadelphia 11 – 2 yesterday. The sweep by the Phils makes it 5 straight Ls for Seattle. The bright spot is Houston has lost four in a row so the Ms still trail by a game and a half for the Division lead but fall a half game behind Boston into the last wild card spot with a 2 and a half game lead over Kansas City.

Today is travel day then back home to T-Mobile tomorrow.

San Francisco only managed a single score again in an 8 – 1 loss to the Padres last night. In a scary moment, pitcher Landen Roupp was carted off the field after he was hit by a line drive in the third inning.

Manager Bob Melvin said Roupp has a sprained left knee and was being sent back to San Francisco for an MRI.

The Giants have a matinee at 1:10 to finish the four-game series in San Diego.
