Blazers face Lakers tonight

NBA:

The Trailblazer led midway through the third quarter but fell behind and couldn’t climb back into it against the Clippers last night. The 114 - 107 final from Los Angeles sends the Blazers to 1 - 2 on the season. Portland struggled to score in the second half. Deni Avdija was the leading scorer with 23. Now it’s a quick turnaround as the team stays in LA to take on the Lakers with a 7:30 tipoff tonight.

CFB:

Oregon maintained their Number 6 ranking following the 21 -7 win against Wisconsin. The Badgers kept the score close under adverse weather conditions. A little too close for some fans and bettors comfort in some cases. Of note was a nose injury to starting quarterback Dante Moore with Eugene native Brock Thomas coming in to finish the game. Coach Dan Lanning said Moore would be alright.

The Ducks move into their bye week at 7 - 1 overall and 4 - 1 in the Big 10. A trip to Iowa City against a very strong Hawkeyes team is on the horizon. It’s set to be another huge test coming November 8th.
