CFB:
Oregon slipped a spot to number 7 in the latest AP Poll after the 2-point victory in Iowa City Saturday. The Ducks escaped with an 18 – 16 victory thanks to a last second field goal. Associated Press voters downgraded Iowa out of the Top 25.

They are still scratching their heads in Corvallis after the inexplicable loss to the previously winless Sam Houston State Bearkats Saturday. Oregon State outgained Sam Houston 474 yards to 157 but was shutout in the second half giving up a 17 – 7 half time lead and falling 21 – 17.
OSU goes to Tulsa Saturday.
NBA:
The Trailblazers couldn’t keep up with Miami Saturday losing 136 – 131 after getting down in the second quarter. The 5 – 4 Blazers are in Orlando tonight to take on the Magic starting at 4. Portland is playing shorthanded; guard Shaedon Sharpe suited up Saturday but is hampered with a calf pain.
The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a new set of commemorative glasses featuring six players. They'll be available to the first five-thousand fans at select games starting with a Jerami Grant glass at the November 19th game against the Chicago Bulls. The first set of glassware was introduced in the 1990s with another set in 2013 and then in 2024.
NFL:
San Francisco got down early, rallied, but couldn’t keep going with the Rams losing 42 - 26 dropping to 6 - 4.
In Seattle, the Seahawks jumped out to a big lead over Arizona in the first quarter leading 21 – 0 thanks to some big defensive plays. The 44 – 22 final gives the ‘hawks their 4th straight win; the 7 – 2 record is identical with the Rams. That will change next Sunday when the teams meet at Los Angeles.
CBB:
The Oregon State women play Air Force at 6 pm from Gill Coliseum.
Soccer Playoffs:
The Portland Thorns scored a late goal over San Diego to advance to the NWSL playoff semifinals against Washington next Saturday.
Local HS Playoffs:
Bend is the 5A state runner-up in Volleyball, Summit takes 4th. Trinity Lutheran is 4th place in 2A.
Cross Country – Caldera’s Maddie Carnie is the state champion, the school’s first in the sport. Summit took another 5A team title for the Girls.
On the boys side, Summit is 2nd place, and Bend 3rd.
Football 5A Mtn View, Summit, and 2A Culver advanced to the next round.
In Girls Soccer 5A Bend and Summit advanced, and in Boys 5A Summit; all play in the semi-finals tomorrow (Tue).
