SPORTS 12-1

CFB:

Oregon is now ranked number 4 in the latest Associated Press poll following the win over Washington Saturday. Now the Ducks await their fate as an at-large team in the College Football playoffs to be decided after this weekend’s conference championship games. At this point it would seem likely there will be one more game at Autzen Stadium.

JaMarcus Shephard has been named Oregon State Head Football Coach, the 33rd in program history.

Shephard has coached at the University of Alabama for the last two years and most recently as the Assistant Head Coach, Co-Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach. He also has previous coaching experience at the University of Washington (Assistant Head Coach/Pass Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers) and Washington State University (Wide Receivers).

Coach Shephard will be formally introduced as the new Oregon State Head Football Coach during a press conference tomorrow (Tu).

Shephard's appointment is contingent on the completion of all university hiring processes.

Reports say more members of the current Alabama coaching staff may join Shephard in Corvallis.
