Oregon OC Stein Named Kentucky HC

JaMarcus Shephard will be introduced as Oregon State’s new Head Football Coach today at a noon press conference.

Reports say more members of the current Alabama coaching staff are joining Shephard in Corvallis including assistant offensive coordinator Mitch Dahlen to be the Beavers’ quarterbacks and offensive coordinator, and Eron Rodgers, the current Crimson Tide associate director player personnel to be OSU’s new football general manger.

 

UO-

AP 4th ranked Oregon will apparently have offensive coordinator Will Stein call plays for the Ducks during the upcoming playoffs even as he accepts the head coach job at Kentucky. Stein, a native of the bluegrass state has been OC at the U of O the past three seasons.

 

We’ll learn where Oregon lands in the playoff rankings tonight ahead of this weekend’s Championship games.

NBA:

The Trailblazers are in Toronto looking to stop a two game losing streak. Portland is 8 – 12 and have only won three of their last 10 games. That coincides with an injury bug hitting the team. The roster will be depleted in Canada again today with center Donovan Clingan listed as questionable. He was out sick for the OKC loss Sunday.
Tip-off against the Raptors is 4:30.

 

NFL:

The first polling numbers for the 2026 Pro Bowl were released. Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the second-leading vote getter overall, only trailing Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. 14 other Seattle players including quarterback Sam Darnold are currently ranked top 10 in their respective position groups. The ‘Hawks go to Atlanta Sunday.

 

49ers Christian McCaffery has the 6th most Probowl votes with fullback Kyle Juszczyk in at 10th. San Francisco is on a bye this week.
