CFB:

Number 5 ranked Oregon faces number 12 James Madison in its College Football Playoff game Saturday the 20th.

The Ducks host the game at Autzen Stadium with a 4:30 kickoff.

The game will be televised on TNT, and stream on HBO Max.

KBND will have the game along with pre and post-game coverage.

The winner of this first-round matchup meets four-seed Texas Tech in Miami at the Orange Bowl on New Year’s Day for the quarter-final.

A report from Tuscaloosa News reporter Chase Goodbread says Alabama head coach  Kalen DeBoer’s plan is to have JaMarcus Shephard on the Crimson Tide staff through their playoff run, but that Shephard would need a few days early this week to take care of  business being Oregon State head coach

Also Beavers wide receiver Trent Walker posted he ‘got one more’ with eyes and a ‘I don’t know, shrug’ emojis with speculation that he’s receiving another year of eligibility.

Walker has been the Beavers leading wide receiver and said earlier this season he had planned to apply to the NCAA for another year of eligibility since he has technically only played three seasons.

 

NBA:

The Trailblazers lost in Memphis 119 – 96 after narrowing a large halftime deficit but couldn’t close the gap before the Grizzlies pulled away.

Jerami Grant was high scorer with 21.

Portland was plenty short-handed missing Donovan Clingan for the second-straight game adding to their already slim line-up.

Rookie Yang Hansen got his first start at center.

The road trip finishes Thursday in New Orleans.

 

CBB:

The Oregon Men hung with UCLA for much of the game Saturday before fading in the final minutes.

The loss drops the Ducks to last in the Big 10 at 0 – 2 and 4 – 5 overall.

The Oregon State men are back to .500 at 5 - 5 after handling Southern Utah Saturday.

The Oregon Women opened the Big 10 season at number 4 UCLA Sunday.

The Bruins jumped out to a big halftime lead on their way to a 80 – 59 win handing the Ducks their first loss of the season to fall to 10 – 1.

The OSU Women beat Alaska Anchorage 69 – 53 to go to 6 – 4.

 

NFL Sunday:
The Seahawks are now 10 -3 after blowout win in Atlanta yesterday.

Kickoff specialist Rashid Shaheed showed why Seattle traded for him earlier this season as he returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown, setting up the run of 31 straight points on the way to the 37 – 9 win over the Falcons.
