CFB:
Number 5 seeded Oregon got by number 12 James Madison 51 – 34 in the College Football Playoff Saturday in Eugene.
The Ducks allowed the Dukes back into the game near the end. The point-spread was around three touchdowns.
UO head coach Dan Lanning called the win "bittersweet" for the way the Ducks finished after leading 48 – 13 in the 3rd quarter. The coach said his team will have to play better football as they travel to Miami next.
The New Year’s Day Orange Bowl match up against number 4 seed Texas Tech will kickoff at 9 AM on KBND.

NBA:
The Trail Blazers took back to back wins off Sacramento and have a three-game win streak with a 12 – 16 record. The Detroit Pistons come to Moda Center tonight. The top team in the Eastern Conference comes in at 22 – 6 on the season.
CBB:
Stanford edged out the Oregon Women 64-53 yesterday at the Bay Area Women's Classic as the Ducks fell short in the final minutes. Oregon now 12-2 is off until next week for their Big 10 home opener against Michigan.
Yesterday at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon took on seventh-ranked Gonzaga. Both teams shot the ball well, but Gonzaga made key stops late to win 91-82. Oregon’s record falls to 6-6 this season.
Oregon State got a big road win in Tempe yesterday beating Arizona State 78 – 75. The Beavers overcame an 11-point deficit with under nine minutes to go to beat the Sun Devils for the first time on Ned Wulk court since 2007.
The OSU Women captured the Maui Classic Championship over the weekend to get the Beavers to 8-5. They play again next Sunday.
NFL:
San Francisco is preparing for the Colts tonight already knowing they are in the playoffs. They clinched a spot when the Lions lost yesterday. The niners can still possibly get the number one seed also. Game start at 5:15 from Indianapolis.
