CFB:
Ducks head coach Dan Lanning spoke on Number 5 seeded Oregon getting past James Madison Saturday. He said his players know they have room for improvement.
Looking ahead to the New Year’s Day Orange Bowl matchup against number 4 seed Texas Tech, Lanning gave credit to the Red Raiders coaching staff for getting the most out of their roster.
The coach criticized the playoff scheduling as well, pointing to Texas Tech’s higher seed arguing the game should be played in Lubbock.
Lanning also thinks running back Jordon Davison will be able to go next week.

NBA:
The Trail Blazers nearly came back from a 19 point deficit against Eastern Conference leading Detroit last night. But they missed too many free throws in the final minutes and lost 110 – 102 to the Pistons… Shaedon Sharpe led the way with 25 points. Portland was once again very short-handed without Jerami Grant in the line-up.
The Orlando Magic come to Moda Center tonight. Tip off at 7.
NFL:
San Francisco has won five straight after last night’s win over the Colts. The victory puts the 49ers at 11 – 4 with a head-to-head division lead over the Rams for 2nd place in the division. Next up is a huge Sunday night clash with Chicago this week.
Seattle has a one game lead over the 49ers in the NFC West. The Seahawks are getting ready for a road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on the NFC South first place Panthers Sunday.
