The Seahawks made a series of roster moves ahead of their season finale. Seattle activated linebacker Derick Hall after a one-game suspension, signed tackle Amari Kight to the active roster, placed wide receiver Cody White on injured reserve and waived safety D'Anthony Bell. The Seahawks will play the 49ers Saturday with the NFC West title and a first-round bye on the line. In other news, former Seattle defensive lineman Kevin Williams was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The Oregon football team is set for the CFP quarterfinals. The fifth-seeded Ducks will face number four seed Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl on Thursday. Oregon advanced with a 51-34 over James Madison at home. In other news, wide receiver Evan Stewart confirmed he suffered a full patella tear over the summer that has kept him out all season.
The Oregon State football team added to its coaching staff. Ryan Wallace was hired Tuesday as the Beavers' tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator. Wallace had been the tight ends coach at Louisville for the past three seasons following a six-year stint with Purdue.
The Trail Blazers are closing out 2025 on the road. Portland will take on the Thunder for the final time this season. Oklahoma City has won two of the three meetings between the teams, all in November. The Blazers have won their last two games to improve to 14-and-19 this season.
The men's college basketball season continued yesterday. Number seven Gonzaga beat San Diego 99-93 on the road. Jalen Warley had 22 points and 14 rebounds off the bench for the Bulldogs. Oregon State overcame a halftime deficit to beat San Francisco 70-62 in Corvallis. Isaiah Sy led the Beavers with 18 points. Washington State lost 69-55 to Seattle U on the road. Ace Glass had a team-high 13 points for the Cougars. Portland lost to Santa Clara 92-85 at home. Joel Foxwell had 20 points and 15 assists for the Pilots in the loss.
The women's college basketball season continued yesterday. Oregon State beat St. Mary's 63-57 on the road. Jenna Villa paced the Beavers with 16 points. Portland fell 67-64 at San Francisco. Dyani Ananiev had 16 points in the Pilot loss. Washington State lost 67-58 at home to Loyola Marymount. Eleonora Villa scored a team-high 21 points for the Cougars. Gonzaga beat Pepperdine 75-52 at home. Lauren Whittaker led the Bulldogs with 22 points, while Jaiden Haile had 21 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
