OSU Adds Three From Portal

CFB:

Oregon Ducks linebacker Bryce Boecher is among the players saying the team learned from its October loss to Indiana. Boecher and other players point to that game as a turning point to focus on each week’s game.

The Oregon State football team landed a trio of commitments.  Wide receiver Xayvion Noland, tight end DC Temple and linebacker Dylan Layne committed to the Beavers on Monday.  They join tight end DeCorion Temple as OSU's transfer additions so far this winter.

 

NBA:

The Trail Blazers jumped out to big lead on the Jazz last night, and cruised to their 3rd straight win. Portland is now 17 – 20 on the season. The Rockets visit the Moda center tomorrow night (with a 7 pm tip-off) for the first of a two-game matchup against the Blazers.

 

CBB:

The Oregon Men battled all game but fell to Rutgers yesterday in overtime 88 – 85. The Ducks Nate Bittle finished with 28 points. The U of O drops to 1 – 3 in the Big 10.

 

The Oregon women head back on the road to take on its third top-25 team in its first four Big Ten games, as the Ducks visit No. 21 USC at 7 p.m.

 

NFL:

Another week another significant injury for San Francisco. Yesterday, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced linebacker Tatum Bethune will miss the postseason after suffering an injury in Saturday’s game. Shanahan said the team hopes to have injured linebacker Fred Warner back if the team advances to the conference championship game.  The 49ers go to Philadelphia Sunday for the wildcard game.

 

Meanwhile, the NFC West champion Seahawks hope to have Tackle Charles Cross and safety Coby Bryant back for their divisional round playoff game next weekend. Coach Mike Macdonald said yesterday during his media availability it was too soon to know for certain but the team remains hopeful.
