NFL:
The Seahawks beat the Los Angeles Rams yesterday to clinch the NFC Championship. Seattle goes to Santa Clara, CA for Super Bowl LX to take on the New England Patriots on Sunday, February 8th.
NBA:
Portland is now 23 – 23 and 9th place in the Western Conference.
The Trail Blazers head east for a week-long road trip.
They could be without injured All Star Deni Avdija, who is officially listed as questionable to play after his lower back strain flared up during Thursday’s win.
Avdija injured the back originally last Sunday, and didn’t play in Friday’s loss to Toronto, which snapped the four-game win streak.
The Blazers begin a three-game road trip today in Boston.
Tip off against the Eastern Conference 2nd-place Celtics is at 5.
College Football:
Oregon's schedule for the upcoming season will be announced on a live Big Ten Network broadcast this week (this Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. PT.) The Ducks will host nonconference games against Boise State on September 5 and Portland State on September 19. Tomorrow afternoon we get the dates for Big Ten home games against Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, UCLA… and Washington.
CBB:
The Oregon Men lost to Washington Sunday in blow out fashion. The Ducks sixth in a row as they drop to 1 – 8 in the Big 10. The U of O returns to Mathew Knight Arena for two contests this week on Wednesday, and Sunday.
The Oregon Women snapped a four-game losing streak blowing out Penn State Saturday. That gets the Ducks to 3 – 6 in the conference.
