NBA:

Portland is now 23 – 24 after falling in Boston last night.

Deni Avdija once again didn’t play, sitting out with a back injury.

Also, yesterday center Donovan Clingan was named to the NBA’s Rising Stars Sophomore team. He’ll play along with Blazers Rookie Yang Hansen during the NBA’s All Star weekend next month.

The road trip continues in Washington DC tomorrow. Tip off against the Wizards is at 4.

 

NFL:

The NFC Conference Champion Seahawks are getting ready for next week’s chaotic lead up to Super Bowl 60. Yesterday head coach Mike MacDonald addressed some of those preparations during his media availability. He also said he appreciated the fans at Lumen Field and their loud support during the game against the Rams. Seattle goes to Santa Clara, CA for Super Bowl LX. The Hawks are favored over the Patriots.

 

College Football:

This week university presidents and athletic directors making up the newly formed Pac-12 conference are set to meet.

Forming a schedule, a location for the conference championship, tiebreaker procedure and bowl lineup are all on the agenda at tomorrow’s gathering.

Pac 12 commissioner Teresa Gould, Oregon State, Washington State and the rest of the universities’ conference executives are set to finalize details for that will kick off with football season this Fall.
