Trail Blazers To Face Knicks

NBA:

The Trail Blazers will try to snap their three-game losing streak in New York City today. It will be a tall order against the Eastern conference’s 2nd place team.

Deni Avdija is questionable to play with his sore back.

Point Guard Scoot Henderson could be returning to the line-up soon.

The Rose Garden Report explains Henderson has been cleared for contact drills in practice as he recovers from a hamstring tear he suffered in the pre-season.

Portland also got bad injury news, again. Backup forward Duop Reath had season-ending foot surgery yesterday.

Thirteen different Blazers players have missed over 200 combined games due to injury or illness so far this season.

The Blazers are in historic Madison Square Garden to take on the surging Knicks today.

NFL:

The Seahawks go to Santa Clara, CA Sunday to make game week preparations for the franchise’s fourth Super Bowl appearance.

Yesterday Tackle Amari Kight and linebacker Ernest Jones The Fourth were listed as non-participants on the team's estimated report, while quarterback Sam Darnold is one of nine players listed as limited.

In not Super Bowl related-news; Seattle could lose a coordinator this offseason.

Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will reportedly have second head coaching interviews with the Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.  Kubiak is in his first season with the Seahawks under coach Mike MacDonald.

 

CBB:

This weekend-

The Oregon Men have lost 7 in row. The Ducks will try to stop that losing streak with Iowa visiting Mathew Knight Arena Sunday at 5. Coverage starts at 4:30 on KBND.

The Oregon Women, 4 – 6 in the Big 10 coming off a win at Rutgers, are at number 16 Maryland tomorrow at 2.

Youth Sports:

Youth coaches across the country are burning out and considering quitting, with parents ranking as a top reason.  A new national survey by the U.S. Center for SafeSport polled nearly 35-hundred coaches across 66 sports.  Many coaches say they experienced verbal abuse from parents.  More than one-third reported various discrimination.  Coaches also cited misconduct, including swearing at or humiliating officials and mistreating athletes.
