Trail Blazers Lose To Cavaliers

NBA:

The Trail Blazers were blown out by Cleveland last night. The return to the Moda center didn’t stop the losing streak which now stands at 4 games. Phoenix visits tomorrow night.

 

Over the weekend the Blazers traded for some much-needed shooting help, and unloaded one of their spare big men. Vit Krejci (veet KRAY-chee). the Heat Czech has shot better than 40-percent from three-point range for his career. He’ll join a Portland squad shooting a league-worst from beyond the arc. The Hawks get center Duop Reath and future second round draft picks.

And All-Star reserve selections were announced yesterday: forward Deni Avdija earns his first All-Star nod.

 

NFL:

The Seahawks are now in Santa Clara, CA for game week preparations for the franchise’s fourth Super Bowl appearance, the second time against the New England Patriots.

The teams will take part in Opening Night later today at the San Jose Convention Center with hundreds of media set to interview players and coaches during their only public appearance this week.

In not Super Bowl related-news; Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will reportedly be the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Kubiak is in his first season with the Seahawks under coach Mike MacDonald.

 

CBB:

The Oregon Men have lost 8 in a row after a walloping from Iowa in Mathew Knight Arena yesterday.

The Oregon Women are now 5 – 6 in the Big 10 after an upset win at number 16 Maryland.
