NBA:

The Trail Blazers couldn’t hold an early lead, and fell to Phoenix last night. It’s now a six-game losing streak following the 130 – 125 to the Suns.

Deni Avdija didn’t play.

Big question was whether it was the final game in a Portland uniform for Jrue Holiday or Jerami Grant.

A back-to-back with Memphis starts Friday.

The Seahawks are practicing in San Jose ahead of Sunday’s Superbowl.

In this week’s girls’ basketball coaches’ polls: Redmond is 3^rd, Crook County is 8^th and Summit is 9^th in 5A. Sisters is 5^th in 3A.

For the Boys 5A, Crook County remains 2^nd, Summit is ranked 5^th. In 4A Madras is tied for 1^st, Trinity Lutheran is 2^nd in 2A.

Pitcher Addisen Fisher from Bend has been named an honorable mention pre-season All American by USA Today for the 2026 Softball Season. Fisher, a Bend High graduate is in her sophomore year at Georgia after transferring from UCLA last season.
