Blazers Beat the Sixers

NBA:

The Trail Blazers crushed the 76ers 135 – 118 last night.

Toumani Camara led the way with 30 points behind a career-high eight three-pointers.

Portland has won 3 in a row now with a quick road trip before the All Star break.

The Blazers go to Minnesota tomorrow.

 

College Basketball:

The Oregon Men were hammered by the Indiana Hoosiers last night. The 92 – 74 loss sends the Ducks to a 1 – 11 record in the Big 10.

 

College Baseball:

Oregon State is ranked 11th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's (NCBWA) preseason rankings, which were announced on Monday.

The Beavers are ranked in the top 15 in all five major polls to open the 2026 season; 7th by Perfect Game, number 12 by D1Baseball.com and the USA Today Coaches Poll, and 15th by Baseball America.

Oregon State left-handed pitcher Ethan Kleinschmit and right-hander Dax Whitney have each been named to the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list by USA Baseball.

The duo earned preseason All-America honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) last week also, making a total of four preseason All-American lists.

The Beavers have three other pitchers, Isaac Yeager, Eric Segura, and Mason Pike on various All America lists.

OSUs' season opener is Friday against Michigan in Surprise, Arizona.

Oregon’s Maddox Molony is also on the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list. Molony, a junior slugger has been named to the Baseball America player of the year watchlist.
The Ducks season opens Friday in Eugene with a four-game series against George Mason.

 

LOCAL:

Central Oregon Trail Alliance has named Casey Andrews as its new Executive Director. Known for her expertise in public lands management, Andrews has worked with the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service, collaborating on trail projects throughout the region. Her leadership is expected to further develop and maintain Central Oregon’s popular trail systems, supporting mountain bikers, hikers, and outdoor sports fans as the Alliance moves forward with its ambitious five-year plan.
