College Baseball:

Number 11 Oregon State is 4 -3 as they leave the Round Rock Classic, dropping yesterday’s game to Purdue at the Texas tournament.

Oregon pulled a four-game sweep of Youngstown State with a shut-out yesterday piling on 15 runs with 12 hits.

 

Softball:

14th ranked Oregon took down three top-20 teams at the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, California over the weekend.

Oregon State went four up and two down, including a no-hitter Saturday, during their time at the Nutter.

 

NBA:

The Trail Blazers bounced back from Friday’s blowout loss to the Nuggets by pounding the Suns in Phoenix last night. The 92 – 77 final gets Portland to 28 – 30. Donovan Clingan finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks (!). The Blazers are back at Moda Center tomorrow for the Timberwolves.

 

College Basketball:

The Oregon Men got a narrow win at USC 71- 70 Saturday

The U of O Women lost to Indiana yesterday.

The Oregon State Women beat Washington State.

The Oregon State Men beat Pepperdine.

 

MLB:

Spring Training Cactus League-

The Seattle Mariners walloped the Reds 14 – 8. They play the Dodgers today at 12:05.

San Francisco got a win over the Cubs. The play the Athletics today.

 

LOCAL:

The OSAA State Swimming Title goes to the Bend Girls in 5A with a record-setting performance. It was a Central Oregon sweep on the podium with Summit, Ridgeview, and Redmond taking 2nd through 4th place.

Bend Senior High also earned 5A Boys 2nd place.
