NBA:
The Trail Blazers are in Houston today to finish their five-game road trip. Forward Deni Avdija is listed as doubtful to play with his back injury. Forward Kris Murray is questionable with illness.
Portland has been dealing with significant injuries to the roster all season.
The Blazers are just behind the Clippers for the 9th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with less than 20 games to play in the regular season. The team returns to the Moda Center for a matchup with Indiana Sunday.
Tip off this afternoon against the Rockets is at 5.
College Basketball:
The 11th seed Oregon Women knocked off 6 seed Maryland last night. The Ducks advance to tomorrow’s Big 10 tournament semifinals.
The Oregon Men finish the Big 10 regular season against Washington tomorrow.

The West Coast Conference tournament starts Sunday for the Oregon State Men’s and Women’s teams.
Both are number 4 seeds, earning byes for the first round and will find out who they play after tomorrow’s lower-seeded games.

Civil War Softball: Number 18 ranked Oregon has won seven in a row including a Wednesday contest in Corvallis. The Ducks host Oregon State today as part of the Jane Sanders Classic. Along with the Beavers’ squad, Nevada, and Sacramento State will also be competing in Eugene.
College Baseball:
Number 18 Oregon State has their home opener at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field with Xavier visiting for a four-game series.
Number 23 Oregon begins Big 10 conference play with a series at Purdue.

Boys 2A quarterfinals has 1 seed Trinity Lutheran plays Oakland this afternoon.
Boys 4A has 4 seed Madras playing today.
5A Boys features top seed Crook County, 5 seed Summit, and 13 seed Ridgeview playing today.
Girls 3A has 5 seed Sisters playing a loser-out game against Sutherlin later this morning.
Girls 5A first round has top seed Redmond, 7 seed Crook County, 9 seed Summit, and 12 seed Bend in action tomorrow.
Madras is the 13 seed in tomorrow’s Girls 4A tournament.
The State Alpine Ski races continue at Mt Hood Meadows. Athletes from Bend, Mountain View (including Bend Tech Academy), Summit, Caldera, Sisters, and Redmond Highs Schools are competing.
