Oregon Men's Basketball start Big 10 Tournament

College Basketball:

The West Coast Conference Tournament has the OSU Women’s team in today’s championship game after beating top-seeded Loyola Marymount yesterday.

The Beavers tip-off at 1 this afternoon against Gonzaga.

 

The Beavers Men couldn’t hang with top-seeded Gonzaga last night. Oregon State ends their season and the tenure of head coach Wayne Tinkle.

 

The Oregon Men open play in the Big 10 tournament today. The Ducks take on Maryland in Chicago.

College Baseball:

Oregon State came back to beat Xavier yesterday to earn the four game sweep. The latest polls have the Beavs as high as 17 in the Coaches poll, 18 from D1Baseball.com, the Writers’ rank them 19th, 21st in the Perfect Game poll, and 23 in Baseball America.

 

Oregon, ranked number 15 in the Perfect Game Top 25 has a midweek series against Xavier beginning this afternoon from PK Park.

And if you’re not counting that makes the fifth of six straight games played by the Musketeers between series in Corvallis and Eugene.

Also, Ducks’ true freshman Angel Laya has been named the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

 

NBA:

The Trail Blazers are 31 – 34, 10th place in the Western Conference coming off their blowout win over the Pacers.

Charlotte, 10th place in the Eastern Conference, visits tonight for the second night of the Blazers three-game homestand.

For the first time in a while, All-star forward Deni Avdija doesn’t have an injury designation.

Tip-off against the Hornets is at 7 from the Moda Center.

 

NFL:

Free agency latest…Superbowl MVP Kenneth Walker III is leaving the Seahawks for Kansas City.

San Francisco is reportedly signing Wide Receiver Mike Evans away from Tampa.
