Beavs Lose to the Pilots

SPORTS 3-18

College Baseball:

Number 17th Oregon State fell to the Portland Pilots last night. The Beavers managed just three hits, plating a single run in the 3 – 1 final.

Number 21 ranked Oregon is off until another conference series at home against Northwestern.

NBA:

The Trail Blazers go to Indiana today fresh off the win in Brooklyn Monday. Portland likely won’t have Robert Williams available tonight, putting fan favorite Kris Murray in the backup center role behind starter Donovan Clingan who has had a double-double in his last four games. The Blazers come in at 33 – 36 just behind Golden State and the Clippers for the last playoff position. The Pacers are in last place in the Eastern Conference.

Tip-off is 4:30

SOFTBALL:

The National polls have the Ducks at Number 18 in the coaches’ poll and USA Softball has them ranked 16 this week.

Oregon is visiting the Midwest starting at Purdue (Friday-Sunday) and Indiana (Monday), before to Northwestern the following weekend.

WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL:

The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will begin this week.  Sixth-seeded Washington will play South Dakota State in Fort Worth.  Oregon is a number eight seed and will battle Virginia Tech in Austin.  Number 12 seed Gonzaga will face off with Ole Miss in Minneapolis.
