Oregon Women out of the NCAA Tournament

NBA:

The Trail Blazers’ road trip ended with a 128 – 112 loss in Denver, the conference’s fifth place team. The Nuggets have won 17 straight games against the Blazers in the Mile High City.

Portland remains in 9th place in the Western Conference at 35 - 37. 10 games are left for a final playoff push.

That starts tonight against the Brooklyn Nets

Tip-off from the Moda Center is 7 pm.

 

College Basketball:

The number 8 seed Oregon Women are out of the NCAA tournament after losing to number 1 seed Texas yesterday.  Oregon lost 100-58 to top-seeded Texas.  Katie Fiso led the Ducks with 16 points in the loss.  Washington lost to TCU 62-59 in overtime.  Sayvia Sellers scored a team-high 18 points for the Huskies.

 

College Baseball:

Number 17th Oregon State took a three-game series sweep of UC Irvine behind some clutch hitting and dominant pitching.

 

Number 21 ranked Oregon slugged their way to a series win but dropped yesterday’s game to Northwestern in 12 innings.

 

SOFTBALL:

Oregon State fell two games to one in the series at Idaho State.

Number 18 Oregon got a win in yesterday’s rubber match to take the series at Purdue. The Ducks have a non-conference matchup against Indiana today.

 

LOCAL:

Central Oregon Community College and Oregon State University-Cascades play the inaugural “La Copa del High Desert,” Sunday, April 12, at COCC’s Bend campus. Both schools are recruiting their own players from students and staff for the match.
