College Baseball:
20th ranked Oregon broke out the bats at UC San Diego yesterday with a 12 – 4 win over the Tritons.
The Ducks take their mid-week sweep into their weekend series at UC Santa Barbara starting tomorrow.
NBA:
The Trail Blazers blew past the Bucks 130 - 99 last night.
Scoot Henderson’s 23 points led seven scorers in double figures.
The win keeps Portland in the 9th spot in the Western conference, and the 37 – 37 record gets the team to .500 for the first time since January.
Portland remains a half game out of 8th place behind the Clippers.
Dallas visits the Moda Center tomorrow.
SOFTBALL:
17th ranked Oregon take on Northwestern in a Big 10 three-game series starting today. The Ducks have won 10 straight conference series going back to last season.
MLB:
Seattle opens defense of their AL West championship tonight against Cleveland. On the mound for the Mariners will be Logan Gilbert. First pitch is at 7:10.
Mariners baseball will be on TV in Central Oregon. After the team ended its contract with FanDuel Sports Network, a new agreement allows TDS TV+ to carry Mariners games locally on Cable Channel 243. Mariners.TV launches as the season begins.
NFL:
For the first time in more than a decade the season will start on a Wednesday. The league announced the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will kickoff Week 1 on September 9th. The change from the usual Thursday kickoff game is due to the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams playing in Australia that day. The last time the NFL opened on a Wednesday was in 2012. The Seahawks' opponent will be announced later this spring.
