NBA:
The Trail Blazers wiped out Washington 123 – 88 yesterday. The win puts Portland back to .500 at 38 – 38; 9th place in the conference. Just ahead of the Warriors.
Toumani Camarra, Scoot Henderson, and Deni Avdija led the way.
Jerami Grant sat out with a calf strain; it’s unknown at this point how long he’ll be out.
Big game against the Clippers tomorrow night, who sit in 8th place entering today.
College Baseball:
Number 16 Oregon State got a sweep at Coleman Field at Goss Stadium.
The Beavers are 21 and 5 on the season after three wins against scrappy Mercer.
20th ranked Oregon got a win over UC Santa Barbara yesterday to get the 2 -1 series win over the Gauchos.
SOFTBALL:
17th ranked Oregon took the series over Northwestern but not without some controversy as the Wildcats had the tying run at the plate when the game was called with the Ducks leading because the team had to leave for the airport to fly back to Eugene.
Oregon State won their series but couldn’t complete the sweep at Kelly Field yesterday in the West Coast Conference opener against San Diego.
