Trail Blazers Eliminated By Spurs

SPORTS 4-29

NBA:

The Trail Blazers couldn’t keep pace with the Spurs last night, falling 114 – 95 and losing their first round series in San Antonio.

Portland’s season ends better than pre-season expectations, and certainly better than expected when their coach was arrested after their first game of the season.

They were also ranked 3rd for most missed games due to injuries.

There are likely to be several off-season moves made by new team owner Tom Dundon, including the status of interim head coach Tiago Splitter.

We’ll unpack more of the Blazers options and outlook for next season the rest of this week.

COLLEGE BASEBALL:

Number 13 Oregon got a nice win over Gonzaga yesterday afternoon at PK Park.

The Bulldogs came into the contest ranked 33rd in the RPI metric used to determine playoff seeding.

Number 6 Oregon State beat UT – Rio Grande Valley.

The Beavers and Vaqueros play again tonight.

SOFTBALL:

Oregon is ranked 11th in the latest coaches’ poll and 15th by USA Softball.

The Ducks have a huge regular season series-finale at number 6 ranked UCLA starting Friday.
