(Renton, WA)  --  A new contract with the Seattle Seahawks makes Earl Thomas the highest-paid safety in the NFL.  The four-year, 40-million-dollar deal comes after Thomas intercepted five passes in 2013 and was named to the Pro Bowl for the third time in his four-year career.  The speedy defensive back also had 105 combined tackles last season.  The NFL Network reports more than 27-million dollars is guaranteed under Thomas's new contract.
