Mariners Stay Hot, Defeat Oakland, 8-3

(Oakland, CA)  --  The Seattle Mariners are on a season-high four-game winning streak after defeating the Oakland A's, 8-3.  Justin Smoak drove in three runs to help lift the Mariners, who are now only two games back of the first-place A's.  Roenis Elias pitched six-and-a-third innings, striking out six while allowing three runs on five hits.  Seattle and Oakland will play a double-header today, beginning at 12:35.
