State DOJ Gets $600,000 To Fight Opioid Epidemic

(Portland, OR)  --  The state of Oregon is getting 600-thousand dollars to aid in the battle against the opioid epidemic.  The state Department of Justice says the funds are coming from a two-point-four-million-dollar settlement with the medical device company Medtronic.  The settlement was over the company's illegal promotion of bone graft technology.  The state DOJ says it's the second time they've used settlement funds in the fight against opioid addiction.
